Packers: Jrlombardi Returns To PC
Jrlombardi returns from Euro 2011 Trip.
Having returned from Europe for an important French American family reunion, we are amused to see how little has changed in the sports world. As the French say, “The more things change, the more they stay the same.”
The Packers as Super Bowl champs is old news. The NFL is now enduring the predictable lockout between the owners and players. Meanwhile, the borish Packers fluff press and delusional vain sports bloggers keep fans informed about the predictable stalemate in the CBA negogiations proclaiming both sides are at fault. Duh!
Meanwhile, we will try to move the news forward in a progressive way looking beyond the nausating daily petty news to the important Packers news and the coming NFL draft. It is good to be back.
Packers: Favre Retired?
Jrlombardi reviews retired legendary Packers QB Favre’s new website.
The official Brett Favre website (www.officialbrettfavre.com) changed its top logo from the Vikings design and QB Favre in his Vikings uniform. Now, it has a complete montage of Favre in three uniforms: the Green Bay Packers, New York Jets, and Minnesota Vikings. Probably, fans can believe that Favre’s NFL career is now over. We can begin the retirement days transition with retirement appearances including days with his return to the Green Bay for award ceremonies.

Illinois governor Pat Quinn was to volunteer at the Feeding America Eastern Wisconsin food distribution center to fulfill his losing wager pledge against Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker over last month’s NFC championship game in which the Bears lost to Packers, but the labor demonstrations in Madison delayed it.
Charles Woodson (New York Daily News about Woodson’s statement) publicly supported Wisconsin’s state unions. Also, Woodson will let the injured collarbone heal on its own. WR Greg Jennings chatted on NFL.com. Nick Collins attended Daytona 500 answering questions.
The NFL and the NFL Players Association met for more than eight hours on Sunday.
A sad goodbye to Art Daley who was a Green Bay Press-Gazette sports editor. He covered Curly Lambeau and Vince Lombardi. He died Saturday at the age of 94.

Jrlombardi reports–former all-pro safety Duerson committed suicide.
The sport news reported a sad sports story about the former all-pro safety Duerson. He was a four-time Pro Bowl safety who played on Super Bowl winners with the Chicago Bears and New York Giants. Miami-Dade Police Detective Robert Williams says Duerson’s body was found in Sunny Isles Beach, Fla. The Chicago Tribune, citing an unidentified person, reported he died of a self-inflicted gunshot to the chest. His death is ruled a suicide. The family is donating his brain to medical research into chronic traumatic encephalopathy. The condition is linked to athletes who sustained repeated concussions. We send our sympathies.
