Writer Profile: David Arreola
I am a twenty-year old Political Science Major and Pre-Law Minor at Flagler College in St. Augustine, Florida. I frequently read and monitor the Milwaukee Journal Sentinel, so I will cite their news often.
I first began writing for the open blog website Bleacher Report in 2008. I wrote for B/R for just over a year, in which time I attained the status of Senior Analyst and became the 2nd leading writer for the Green Bay Packers Community. For the next year I wrote only on occasion.
I began writing for The Packers Chronicle in July of 2011.
I look at sports from a romantic point of view. Where some see statistics and cold, hard, facts, I try to look beyond the obvious and cut into what really makes a great game, or a great athlete. Each game is a new opportunity for an athlete to do something great, and for football players each play is an opportunity to be a hero for your team. Statistics are important, and I will mention them often in my articles, but I find it far more important to focus on individual situations and circumstances, rather than generalizing a player or a team with numbers that can be misleading.
The Green Bay Packers are my first and only love in the NFL, and for me to be able to write about them for a paycheck is a real dream.
I am also a massive soccer fan, and I follow just about every type of soccer around the world from Asian international qualification matches to Mexican Clausura Futbol.
I invite all of you to follow Packers Chronicle on facebook so that you can stay up to date on all of my articles. I accept all types of feedback, both positive and even negative. Most of it has a place somewhere.
Thank you for reading and I hope you will visit often!
